Content components

Content components are components that are intended for use within the main content area of a Compass site. Some components, such as the hero and notification components, can break out of the main content area into designated areas within the layout.

T4 implementation

In the university CMS, content components are implemented as plugins, which are a suite of free-to-use content types managed by Web Services. This means they include their stylesheet and javascript independently, and can be used on non-Compass websites.
